my Bag O' Beans
there are exceptions...

South Jefferson, Thousand Islands, LaFargeville and Indian River Central School Districts all have Websites that are up-to-date, but some are more in depth then others...
At the South Jefferson site, www.spartanpride.org, everything from a virtual tour of the school to an alumni Guestbook to classroom webpages can be found.
"We've gotten many compliments," Superintendent Terry N. Fralick said. "We've had three to five different folks in applying for jobs at South Jeff who said that they looked at the website and were very impressed with the district.
RaeAnn Thomas, Instructional Technology Specialist  for the South Jeff district, is the main employee who handles the website, which she began about 5 years ago.
"Each year it gains momentum as far as teachers and office staff and people from the community giving me things to put on there," Mrs. Thomas said.
"I had hoped it would get this big. Each teacher maintains their own webpage. I help them when they need it," she said.
Students are also involved in keep the website up-to-date.
"It's tough because its really not my position; it's all done on a voluntary basis," Mrs. Thomas said of the 5 hours per week plus the extra time before school begins that she puts into maintaining the website.
